Are you energised by developing leaders, driving performance, and making a measurable impact? We’re looking for a commercially driven  Performance Manager who thrives on coaching others, solving problems with pace, and using data to unlock the full potential of our Maths and English tuition centres across the UK.

This is a field-based role with weekly travel, giving you the chance to work closely with Centre Managers and guide them in delivering exceptional outcomes for children, families and colleagues.

The Role

Key Responsibilities – What You’ll Be Doing

 

  • Own the growth, success and profitability of a group of centres, ensuring each one delivers exceptional quality, operational consistency and strong commercial performance.
  • Use data to rapidly diagnose issues, prioritise actions and make timely, informed decisions, ensuring you focus on the biggest opportunities for improvement and impact.
  • Create clarity by setting clear performance expectations and translating insight into practical, meaningful actions leaders can take.
  • Build trusted, collaborative relationships with Centre Managers that encourage honest conversations, accountability and psychological safety.
  • Coach and develop leaders, unlocking their strengths, sharpening their judgement, stretching their capability and multiplying talent.
  • Act boldly to address performance challenges, working with pace to resolve issues, remove barriers and support teams in driving sustainable improvement.
  • Inspire curiosity and continuous growth, encouraging leaders to explore new ideas, challenge assumptions and learn from data, feedback and best practice.
  • Champion operational excellence, ensuring our safeguarding standards are met or exceeded and we are consistently aligned to organisational standards.
  • Celebrate progress and recognise success, helping teams build confidence, capability and long-term momentum.
  • Ensure smooth transitions during manager changes, maintaining continuity and protecting the commercial success of centres. Merge with coach and develop.

The performance manager role will have 1 of 2 focuses;

  • Hypercare: As a Hypercare performance manager, you will focus on turning aroundperformance of a smaller group ofcentres to allow for deep targeted support.  
  • Accelerate: As an Accelerate performance manager, you will focus on centres which are performing near or at potential to unlock further growth across a larger group of centres. 
  • The role we are currently advertising is for an Accelerate performance manager.

The Essentials

  • Hybrid, field‑based role with regular weekly travel across the UK
  • Fixed-term contract (approx. 12 months), full‑time Monday–Friday
  • Proof of right to work in the UK required (no sponsorship available)
  • Centre allocation confirmed at the start and may change based on performance priorities
  • Salary: £45-55k
  • Start date: Spring 2026
