Our tutors act as coaches and mentors, not just instructors, supporting each learner’s progress with care and purpose. 

As a tutor, you’ll play a key role in every child’s learning journey by: 

Delivering lessons that last: Using our smart learning tool, Compass, you’ll deliver tailored online sessions following a clear 11+ course planner, while facilitating learning through questioning, scaffolding and stretching.  

Building meaningful relationships: With a 1:1 ratio, you’ll get to know each child and create a safe, inspiring environment where they can take risks and develop a lifelong love of learning. 

Driving academic progress: Support members as they work through 11+ and entrance exam course content, celebrating milestones and successes along the way. 

We’re looking for people who: 

• Are confident leading sessions 1:1, inspiring children to engage in their learning, using positive behaviour management strategies, and consistently prioritising their safety and wellbeing. 

• Feel comfortable supporting children with 11+ entrance exams content. Experience tutoring in this area is desirable but not essential, however a firm subject knowledge is required. 

• Are committed to building meaningful, long-term relationships, providing the consistency and stability that helps children thrive. 

• Have access to a quiet, private space in which they can conduct sessions and a laptop or desktop computer with a stable internet connection (minimum 5mbps upload and 10mbps download speed).

Location: This is an online role and is fully remote. 

Contract: This is a permanent part time role and you will be contracted to work at least 6 hours a week over 2 different weekdays. Our most popular session times are from 4:25 pm-7:30 pm. 

Please note: This is not a summer-only role; we are seeking dedicated tutors to support our members throughout the next academic year and beyond. 

Pay Rates & Progression: 

Earn more as you progress! You will start on the base rate for your age group, with an annual opportunity to increase your pay based on the number of hours you have tutored for us. 

Base Hourly Rate:  
 
Under 18: £8 :40 

18-20: £10.90 

21+: £12.75  
 

Requirements: You must be age 17 or over and have the right to work in the UK. You must have achieved a grade 6 or above in Maths & English Language at GCSE level or equivalent (we accept predicted GCSE grades if you will be receiving your results within the next 3 months).
